My Work

Below are the games I have been publicly credited for, ordered by launch date. There are many other titles I've worked on (Praise the Sun!) and would love to list here, but unfortunately can’t. To the clients below, thank you for crediting all localization team members by name.

In total, I have translated over 6 million words (between 500k and 700k per year since 2012), with contributions to single projects ranging from tens to hundreds of thousands of words. Due to NDA, I’m unable to comment on the specifics of each project, but here’s a list of things I’m used to dealing with in game loc:

  • Branching dialogue and quests, romance options, stories with multiple endings

  • Translation challenges involving gender (customizable protagonists; nonbinary or genderfluid characters)

  • Files with tags and variables

  • Specialized terminology (naval; military; cars; firearms; medieval weaponry)

  • Challenges requiring creative solutions (fictional languages; songs/poems; jokes/puns)

  • Crafting and housing/building systems, skills and upgrades

  • Various styles and degrees of formality

  • Various genres, especially RPGs, shooters, and adventure games, but also 4X, racing, fighting, and card games

  • Sci-fi and fantasy settings

  • Content based on history and mythology

  • Licensed games, or games based on well-known fictional universes

You can click each game below for a screenshot of its PT-BR localization credits.

You can also check out my fan translation of Helltaker, published in May 2020 shortly after the game’s release and following a post/video by creator Łukasz Piskorz (aka vanripper) in which he welcomed community translations.

Helltaker is a free game about demon ladies in suits with around 4k words, plus an artbook with dev notes, some comics and two recipes. Translating it was a short and fun experience – much like the game itself! – and I’d love to do some more works like this.

By May 2021, I’d had over 12k downloads on itch, which was totally unexpected, and I’m happy that so many players wanted to check it out.

Valeu aí, galera que jogou! :)
